The weight of a weight distribution system does not get factored into the tongue weight as it becomes part of the frame. If you are looking for a weight distribution system, I recommend the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU87FR. Yep, you heard correct, you can go from a 2 inch shank to a 2-1/2 inch shank with your Reese weight distribution hitch without issue. One of the following 2-1/2 inch shanks should have the right rise/drop for your application. Here are the max rise/drops:

Norman, I recommend going with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET as I feel these are the best bang for the buck of any weight distribution hitch. This particular system is rated for trailers up to 6,000lbs with a tongue weight of 200-600lbs. I contacted Venture Trailers Inc. and found that the reason they do not recommend the use of a weight distribution system is because most weight distribution systems are not recommended for trailers with surge brakes because they do not allow the coupler to push into the coupler housing and engaging the brakes. Also due to the fact that they do apply additional stress on the tongue of the trailer like you said and this can be particularly harmful to aluminum frame trailers.

Since your trailer has such a high dry tongue weight of 770lbs it is quickly going to rise by the time the dealer adds on a 50lb battery and fills your propane tanks. With that wide of a range of tongue weight and the lift of your F-150, I recommend the Reese Weight Distribution w/out Shank item # RP66021. This system works with trailer's weighing up to 8,000 lbs and tongue weights within the range of 400 lbs - 800 lbs. The brackets welded to the frame appear to be standard hangers for a chain-style weight distribution hitch. Since the brackets are 30" back from the ball, I recommend using the Reese Weight Distribution System # RP67509. This requires the brackets to be placed exactly 30" back from the ball so it will match up nicely. Instead of using the brackets included with the hitch, you will simply slip the chain link into the welded bracket.

The reason you can't use a weight distribution hitch (WDH) is because Toyota uses Unibody frames (2-piece frames) that can not handle the pressure that a weight distribution hitch would put on it and could end up damaging the frame. Your owner's manual should list your towing capacity but you can also just look up your vehicle's Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR) and subtract your Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) from it to determine the towing capacity.

Welcome back! With that wide of a tongue weight range, I recommend going with the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control item # RP66084 over the larger Blue Ox item # BXW1500. The Reese system has a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs so you're going to be covered on both ends.

The highest capacity weight distribution system we have is the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # BXW2000. I do have some other options for you as Reese does not offer any replacement spring bars for the larger 12,000LB # RP66560 or 14,000LB Steadi-Flex weight distribution hitches. They only offer the Spring Bar # RP58501 for the 400-600lb tongue weights which is not compatible with the larger hitch heads.

Yeah, there are no TorkLift SuperHitches available for a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or any Jeep. Those are the heaviest duty bumper pull hitches and are reserved for large trucks with the highest towing capacities.
You'll want to look into a weight distribution system with an extended shank if your Gladiator's hitch is rated for one. If you have a hitch that mounts underneath your frame like the Curt item # C74DR you can use a weight distribution system.

That is correct, Stealth Hitches trailer hitch receivers, like the # SH32VR you were looking at, are only able to tow with the ball mount attachment and would not be compatible with a weight distribution hitch.
